Cairo and the Journey to Luxor
Day 1Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative will assist you with passport formalities, luggage collection and airport procedures. Afterward, travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum & Sleeper Train
After breakfast, meet your Egyptologist guide and visit the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. Continue to the Valley Temple and the Great Sphinx before exploring the remarkable collection of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Later, browse Khan El Khalili Bazaar, then transfer to Cairo Railway Station for the overnight sleeper train to Luxor.

Day 3Arrive in Luxor & Board the Nile Cruise
Breakfast is served aboard the train. Upon arrival at Luxor Railway Station, meet our local representative and transfer to the Nile Cruise for embarkation before lunch. In the afternoon, visit Karnak Temple Complex and Luxor Temple with your guide. Return to the ship for afternoon tea, dinner and evening entertainment. Cruise departures operate on Monday and Saturday, subject to confirmation.

Four-Night Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan
Day 4Luxor West Bank & Sail to Edfu
After breakfast, explore Luxor’s West Bank. Enter selected royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch, then sail through Esna toward Edfu while enjoying afternoon tea and evening entertainment.

Day 5Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples
Visit the remarkably preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu, then return to the ship and sail toward Kom Ombo. After lunch, explore the unusual double temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. Continue sailing south while enjoying afternoon tea, dinner and a traditional Galabeya party.

Day 6Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple & Felucca
Arrive in Aswan and visit the High Dam, the ancient granite quarries and the Unfinished Obelisk, followed by the beautiful Philae Temple. After lunch, enjoy a traditional felucca ride around the Nile islands, subject to weather conditions, before returning to the ship.

Day 7Optional Abu Simbel & Sleeper Train to Cairo
Disembark after breakfast. You may relax in Aswan or add an optional excursion to Abu Simbel for $100 per person, subject to availability and departure requirements. Later, transfer to Aswan Railway Station for the overnight sleeper train to Cairo.

Alexandria and Final Cairo Stay
Day 8Arrive in Cairo & Alexandria Tour
After breakfast aboard the train, arrive in Cairo and meet our representative. Travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to Alexandria. Visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Qaitbay Citadel, the Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi and selected landmarks along the Mediterranean Corniche. You may also visit Montaza Gardens when accessible. Please note that the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is closed on Fridays, when an exterior stop is provided instead.

Day 9Alexandria to Cairo
After breakfast, check out and travel back to Cairo by private air-conditioned vehicle. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Enjoy a free day in Cairo to relax, revisit a favorite district or choose an optional guided excursion arranged by our team.
